Position Title: Compliance Director LATAM

Reports To: Global Chief Compliance Officer

Region: Latin America

Based in: Rio Janeiro - RJ

GOAL OF FUNCTION

Compliance Director coordinates the local implementation of all aspects of a robust global compliance program in the region, i.e. resources, policies, procedures, templates, trainings, controls, monitoring and respective support for tools in use. Ensures adequate levels of transparency regarding the status of the compliance program including potential compliance risks, mitigating actions and status of their implementation on a need to know basis for regional management as well as other stakeholders internally and externally. Coordinates compliance related matters on regional level and advises the Local Compliance Officers as well as various departments in the local and regional organizations.

-Any individual impacted by the company policies or guidelines (for example the Code of Conduct) including but not limited to all levels of presidency, vice-presidency, directorial, managerial, coordinational or supervisional or operational levels of any function (for example legal, marketing or finance) in the region Latin America.

-Strong collaboration with regional and global legal department

-Board of Directors

-Corporate Compliance

-Any entity or individual impacted by Policies or guidelines (for example the Code of Conduct) including but not limited to all levels of presidency, vice-presidency, directorial, managerial, coordinational or supervisional or operational levels of any function (for example legal, marketing or finance) in the region Latin America.

-Any compliance related function in Latin America

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

-Fosters further development of the Global Compliance Program, including optimization of processes, procedures, policies, training etc. and allocates available resources effectively and efficiently

-Is responsible for personnel management, budgeting and cost controlling within the Regional Compliance Department

-Manages ongoing operations and provides budget and resources accordingly

-Manages all relevant projects regarding costs, scope and timeline

-Manages qualitative and quantitative performance and sets priorities regarding workload and resource allocation

-Acts as point of escalation regarding advice to the business and other departments within the respective region regarding compliance topics

-Manages implementation of compliance instruments such as processes, procedures, policies, training, IT-tools within the respective region

-Defines department / project and performance goals for the Regional Compliance Department and prioritizes tasks

-Develops (including regular training and qualification measures) and promotes staff of the Regional Compliance Department in consultation with the supervisor (Chief Compliance Officer)

-Manages the implementation of appropriate measures in case of need for improvement, e.g. identified by internal audits or reviews

-Reports regularly to Corporate Compliance Department, Regional Senior Management , e.g. Regional Management Boards such as BEM

WORK AND EDUCATION EXPERIENCE

-Master degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Economics, Law or similar specialization

-Additional training / qualifications in leadership and management is beneficial

-Minimum of 10 years of general professional experience in Compliance related matters, of which a minimum of 4 years of leadership experience, is beneficial

-International experience is desired

-Experience in managing investigations and investigation teams.

-Fluency in English and Spanish; any additional language is an asset.
