Compliance Manager

Our client, a global multinational company, leader in its segment, is seeking a Compliance Manager for the LATAM Region. He/She would report to the Group Chief Compliance Officer and functionally to the LATAM General Counsel (respectively based in Singapore and in Rio de Janeiro). The position would require extensive traveling in the Region (approximately 60% initially). Main requirements:

- Fluency in English and Spanish;

- Previous experience as a compliance manager or coordinator;

- Previous experience with the Latin American region;

- Availability for travels;

- Hands on profile with capability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

Scope of Business:

1) Deploying the Group compliance policies in the LATAM Region

- Develops and implements effective compliance training programs

- Supports and implements Compliance related communications within the LATAM area

- Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, keeps the Group Chief Compliance Officer and senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts

- Create network of compliance ambassadors for each country of the region and ensure they are supported and develop the key compliance actions in each country

- Coordinates local Compliance Program developed by local entities and monitors the performance of such Program Keeps abreast of laws and regulations and their evolution with respect to anti-bribery, anti-corruption and anti-money laundering, data privacy and trade sanctions

- Independently investigates and acts on matters related to compliance, including the flexibility to design and coordinate internal investigations (e.g. responding to reports of problems, whistleblowing alerts, etc)

- Liaise with internal audit, internal controls/Finance and HR to ensure all investigations are conducted appropriately, leading the key initiatives and actions plan resulting from the investigation - main manager of NAVEX system (Helpline)

2) Being the Data Protection Correspondent, supports the implementation in the LATAM Region of the Group Data Protection Program:

- Deploys standard policies, practices and standard documents where needed

- Conducts audits, where needed, with the support of local providers when required

- Develops and implements effective compliance training programs, including appropriate introductory training for the most subjected employees within the LATAM area

- Liaises with the Group Data Protection Officer, keeps him regularly informed of the operations and progress of compliance efforts

3) Being the Trade and Economic Sanctions and Embargos Correspondent, supports the implementation in the LATAM Region internal controls and required contracts and Compliance protection:

- Deploys standard policies, practices and standard documents where needed

- Conducts audits, where needed, with the support of local providers when required
