Our client is an international pharmaceutical group with a focus on rare diseases, operating in over 30 countries and employing over 4000 people, with a patient-centric approach, and a significant R&D programme. A need has arisen to recruit a versatile and driven Compliance Officer to support the EMEA region, based in the companys’ offices near Paris.

Reporting into the locally based General Manager for the EMEA region, and the Head of Corporate on a functional level, the successful candidate will maintain, support and develop the healthcare compliance programme within the EMEA entities, ensure compliance with local legislation, as well ensure a level of response that is appropriate and timely. He/she will develop and implement regional procedures to ensure compliance with the Group’s compliance principles and Ethics Code, the ethics policies and anti-corruption policies, as well as the applicable and relevant industry groups’ codes of conduct including guidelines on interactions with healthcare professionals.  The Compliance Officer EMEA will ensure that compliance efforts and standards will be communicated efficiently within the business and provide guidance and support across different departments, and also intervene with regards to the requirements to be met in relation to the GDPR.

This is an excellent opportunity to occupy an international role, with a wide scope of intervention, strategic input, and space to make an impact.  The successful candidate will benefit from 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role, demonstrate solid communication skills enabling them to interact confidently and pedagogically, through a genuine understanding of the business. He/she will already demonstrate a knowledge of the life sciences sector, as well as the French requirements within the compliance landscape.  As a result, fluent French along with English (the business language) will be required.
