McKinsey & Company is seeking a Contract Manager to work with its Legal Department and in close collaboration with the Department's Intellectual Property (IP) Team, on software, data, technology, intellectual property, analytics, and related contracts and risk issues. This position will be based in the Brussels area.
You will be responsible for handling the preparation, reviewing, drafting and negotiation of a variety of contracts. In addition, you will be expected to further refine and manage the contracting process for McKinsey's software and technology related services. With the guidance of the IP Department, you will also be advising, how to best protect client's IP and to respect the IP of others and how best to structure business arrangements with clients, knowledge development partners, and others and assist in coordinating the implementation of risk management steps with various departments of the firm.
To fulfil this position, you are a qualified lawyer with at least 4 years' relevant experience at an international law firm or within the legal department in a multinational company. You also need to have familiarity with IT terminology. In addition, you need to have excellent communication skills (both written as verbal). Lastly, fluency in English is essential, and other language skills such as French, German and or/ Spanish are a strong plus.
