Our client is dedicated to developing and commercializing novel treatments for patients suffering from rare and life-threatening neurological genetic diseases. Due to recent growth and plans for future development, we are retained to appoint a Senior Legal and Data Privacy Counsel EMEA, a new position within their organisation.
The ideal candidate is qualified to practise as a member of a EU bar, fluent in German with at least 6+ years legal experience preferably from the EU pharmaceutical industry, with experience of establishing a privacy programme and drafting, reviewing, negotiating a wide variety of agreements, including distribution agreements, other commercial agreements and licenses in the region. A strong background in promotional and medical affairs rules and regulations would also be an advantage.
You will have fluent English and fluent German language skills to a business level. You will be an integral part of the EMEA team and responsible for managing various aspects of the Legal Function in Europe, Middle East and Africa, providing general legal advice and support on legal matters, including development, promotion and marketing of the company’s products, transactions, litigation and disputes, employment law, and general corporate law as well as leading the privacy compliance program and ensuring compliance with local and European regulations on the protection of personal data in accordance with legal requirements and internal rules and procedures.
You must have high levels of emotional intelligence and be a dynamic and passionate team-player who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization with a hands on approach required.
Being smart and resourceful, you will also see the bigger commercial picture and bring well developed strategic and operational skills. The role is based in Switzerland, full relocation will be provided and a competitive compensation package.
