Our client, a NYSE listed ($7 billion revenue) Luxembourg-headquartered multinational, is looking to hire its first US-qualified lawyer into a first-class legal function as Group Director, Governance. Our client has grown extensively in the past two decades into one of the world’s largest fully sustainable metal and glass packaging companies and recently made a series of major acquisitions and expansions, with operations across Europe and the Americas.
This role is a new position. Reporting directly to the Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary, the Group Director, Governance must be an experienced US-qualified lawyer. Ideally, he or she will have begun their career in private practice and may additionally have experience in an in-house environment.
Our client is seeking specific US Governance experience with exposure to US federal securities, financing, and corporate governance / shareholder matters. The successful candidate must have experience with US Securities legislation, and will be responsible for managing shareholder communications, SEC filings, and corporate governance documentation.
Although this role will be located in London, the ideal candidate will have an international outlook, and the bandwidth to assist the legal function more broadly across North America and Europe.
