Job Description

Reporting directly to Global General Counsel, and serving as a regional leader for both the Latin America as well as the senior team members of the global organization, this position's incumbent will be the key-player in coordinating and executing legal activities related to different areas of the business making sure the company is legally safe in the Latin America region.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure that our companies in the Latin American region are legally safe, by coordinating and executing the management of contractual flow, preparing and organizing contract and other policies' templates and monitoring its adhesion to them.
  • Act directly as the main business partner with commercial and operations areas, control and deal with risks of having different contracts from different origins.
  • Manage external offices in the region directly, not only in the subject of consultative law but also in the litigation one.
  • Create mechanisms for identifying risks in the labor and tax relations and act on advising the relevant areas of the company as well as executing actions to ensure that the company's legal practices in the region are correct.
  • Support all processes related to biddings, giving advice to the relevant areas of the company.
  • Elaborate and execute the strategical vision of legal concerns throughout the Latin America Region in alignment with the Group's vision and policies.


  • Education: Bachelor in Law, being member of OAB.
  • Preferably with post-graduation in contracts.
  • More than 15 years of professional experience, 7 of which in a reputable law firm.
  • Experience in contracts, corporate law and other fields of legal business.
  • Knowledge in regulations applied to medical industries, solid comprehension of regulatory environment and highly motivated to learn;
  • Generalist knowledge in tax law, as well as environmental, labor, corporate, commercial, criminal law and civil litigation.
  • Solid experience in negotiation with clients and key suppliers as well as considerable commercial transactional experience.
  • Knowledge in economics, finance (budget, cost/income, cash flow, marge)
  • Concepts and techniques of planning and control.
  • Experience in Compliance would be considered a differential.
  • Language: fluent English and Spanish.

  • Ability to be "hands-on" while bringing a strategical vision.
  • Competence to deal with conflicting interests, focusing on priority objectives
  • Practice attested capability in understanding legal and regulatory concepts and turning them into relevant and practical commercial requirements.
  • High level of self-motivation and integrity.
  • Strong ability to work without direct supervision.
