Our client is a leader in their field, an innovative industrial player operating in a competitive international arena.
A need has arisen for a senior legal counsel to operate as a Lawyer for Corporate and Project Finance to be based in the company headquarters in the South of France supporting the Finance department, in particular the Integrated Treasury. The successful candidate will provide appropriate legal support to ensure that the objectives of the Finance team are implemented and that the group as a whole has access to funding and hedging on the best possible terms whilst remaining compliant with the applicable regulations. He/she will manage relationships with different stakeholders representing the finance team within the context of transactions and negotiations, conducting risk management, and proactively ensuring the existence and use of efficient processes.
The successful candidate will have a Common law qualification, demonstrate a minimum of 4 years’ relevant legal experience acquired in law firms and/or in-house, with solid experience in Finance law and regulation, particularly in the area of Project and Corporate Finance. Experience leading large project financing transactions, Debt Capital Market transactions and Syndicated/Bilateral Facilities together with a good understanding of the regulatory environment, will be key. A prior knowledge of derivatives will also be a great asset. Acting as a genuine team player will be essential to thrive within the team’s corporate culture, as well as fluency in English (and ideally another European language).
