Our team has been exclusively retained for a senior management position on behalf of a leading Group and manufacturer operating globally within the Defence field. As Legal Affairs Director for their offices in France, the successful candidate will be a French qualified lawyer with a minimum of 15 years of solid experience acquired both in-house and in a private practice environment. Prior experience in the Defence sector is required.
The role will involve the provision of legal support on business operations related to commercial and corporate matters from M&A to litigation, while managing a team of lawyers. Knowledge of compliance and anti-bribery EU and UK/common law regulations will be an asset to the role. Good communication skills, pedagogy, and capacity to accompany and embrace change will be highly valued, as well as acting as a credible ambassador to the legal function within the Group.
Fluency in the English language is also important.
